The Libertarian Futurist Society has announced their slate of award finalists for this year’s Prometheus Award for best libertarian science fiction novel. My novel Swim Among the People (#5 in the Fall of the Censor series) is among the finalists. This is the fifth novel in the series to be a finalist, and I’m honored that the LFS judges admire my work so much.
Swim Among the People is the tale of guerilla resistance against an occupier who wants to erase history: “Fiera’s victories angered the Censor into deploying the force needed to retake his lost worlds. Marcus Landry is now trapped on an occupied world, trying to fight back against the Censorate. Can he win without hurting the innocent civilians trapped in the crossfire, including his wife and child?”
The competition will be fierce. I’ve read and enjoy Devon Eriksen’s Theft of Fire and Daniel Suarez’s Critical Mass. I’m looking forward to checking out the other two, Howard Andrew Jones’ Lord of a Shattered Land and Dr. Insensitive Jerk’s God’s Girlfriend.
Voting for the Prometheus Awards for Best Novel and Hall of Fame is open to all members of the Libertarian Futurist Society, which you can join here.
Congratulations Karl!
Congratulations and good luck.
